This POSTmatter project was a partnership between Royal College of Art-trained milliner Maiko Takeda and POSTmatter. We art directed, shot, and produced a short film that built on Takeda’s Atmospheric Reentry collection, applying fluorescent pigments to the translucent plastic spikes and combining sprayed color gradients with flecks of paint. Flickering between light and dark, the video shows off the neckpieces under UV light. To quote the artist, "It almost looked like fluorescent jellyfish in water."
